The parent site is static. It has no contact form or application backend and does not intentionally use advertising trackers or non-essential analytics cookies.
Controller and contact
ContingencyLogic is an independent research project operated by Steve Orobec, a private individual in the United Kingdom, who is the controller of personal information handled for the project. For privacy enquiries, use contact@contingencylogic.com.
Information collected
If you email ContingencyLogic, the information received may include your name, email address, message, attachments and normal email metadata such as date and time. When you visit the website, Cloudflare may process technical request and security information such as IP address, requested URL, browser or user-agent information and routing data.
Purposes and lawful bases
Contact information is used to respond to enquiries, assess or manage possible research and industry collaboration, preserve material project correspondence, and protect the security and integrity of the project. The usual lawful basis is legitimate interests in operating and developing the research project and corresponding with people who contact it. Processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering an agreement, or to comply with a legal obligation.
Your right to object
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object at any time. ContingencyLogic will stop the processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the information is needed for legal claims.
Service providers and other recipients
Fastmail provides email services. Cloudflare provides DNS and may provide website delivery and security services. Information may also be shared with professional advisers, collaborators or public authorities only where necessary for the purpose of the enquiry, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or where required by law. Personal information is not sold or provided to advertisers.
International processing
Fastmail and Cloudflare are global service providers and may process information outside the United Kingdom. Their current data-protection terms describe the safeguards used for international transfers. Retention
Routine enquiries are reviewed no later than 24 months after the last substantive contact and deleted when they are no longer needed. Information forming part of an active collaboration, material project-governance record, dispute or legal obligation may be kept for longer, but only while the relevant purpose continues.
Providing information and automated decisions
You are not legally or contractually required to contact ContingencyLogic. If you do not provide enough contact information, a response may not be possible. ContingencyLogic does not use contact information to make automated decisions about individuals or for profiling. Service providers may use automated security and spam controls under their own terms.
Your other rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information. Use contact@contingencylogic.com to exercise a relevant right or raise a complaint.

Cookies and analytics
The site does not intentionally set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is used. Cloudflare may process technical request logs and may use strictly necessary security mechanisms when required to protect the site. If analytics, Cloudflare RUM, a contact form or other telemetry is enabled later, this notice and any required consent mechanism will be reviewed before deployment.
Executable Contract Studio
The current Studio v1.1 public build is browser-local by default and has no application backend. A user model remains in the browser unless explicitly exported by the user.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be reviewed when the site, legal identity, service providers or processing activities change. Material new uses of personal information will be described before they begin.
